I've picked at songs too much and destroyed them beyond repair. Not that they were any good in the first place.

The sound is solid, but the mixing could be better.

This could be the first minute of a song that builds up to a huge orchestral climax.

Grandvision responds:

I was imagininng something along the lines of that.

I personally prefer less vicious metal, but this is really good guitar-playing and solid mixing.

Metaljonus responds:

Hey thanks dude! I did'nt know this was on the front page haha!

Teach me dubstep please.

Which synthesizer has this choir sound?

samulis responds:

I can't remember man, it's been like three years and I don't think I have the project file anymore anyway. :/

Love this game!

Wow, this is amazing! I used to play this game all the time when I was a kid. The music in the game is great, and you really did a good job with a metal remake. Fived and favorited.

Yeah

It's a DnB track with a cool rhythm that is also musically complex. Really nothing to complain about, since the entire song is stellar. Hope you don't mind me asking a couple of questions:

What tool did you use for the orchestral sounds? I'm interested in incorporating more orchestral sounds into my own electronic music.

Also, how did you make that cool whooshing noise from 3:02 to 3:03? I want to improve my filtering skills.

My Review

The ambient stuff was soothing, and the rhythm and bass were appropriate most of the time. But in the middle, things sounded a bit jumbled. Maybe just having a drum solo there in classic breakbeat fashion would have been appropriate. Also, there is not too much variation in the song's melody. Other than those aspects, this song makes for an enjoyable listen.

Here Is My Review

I'm also a big believer in using one's own creativity. Original works are better than remixes any day, and so is using one's own instrumental sounds. Admittedly, lots of times I'll just start with a VST preset and tweak it to my liking. Sometimes I'll barely adjust it at all. But making it sound completely different and still cool is always the most fun.

As for the song, it still sounds good without the effects. So obviously it will sound better with effects. The melodies are cool, but the only problem is how much that one melody repeats. It increases in complexity, but it still gets kind of boring after a while. Maybe adding some effects (filters and whatnot) can decrease the repetition.

Hey I'm Anthony and I basically just make music that I like to call my own style.
